Adding an element in the Editor tree

The "Add After" or "Add Under" option in the Editor treeallows to add an element in the tree (respecting the structure of the file system).

You can add:
When you add the element, the associated file will immediately be created on the file system.

Adding an article

You can add several types of articles: The dialog also allows to specify:
  • The file for the article (see File selection chooser for more information)
  • The name of the article
  • The version of the article[1]
    If you don't put anything in the field, the article will not have any version
  • The article on which the article redirects for a Redirect article
  • Two checkboxes specifying if the article description case should be kept as is, and if the article description should be shown in italic

If the file is not specified, the name of the article will be used to create the file name.

Adding the index

A dialog for an Index article only allows to specify:
You can only add an index article if no index is defined in the wiki.

File selection chooser

Selecting a file for an element in the tree uses a specific file chooser only allowing to specify a file name in the parent directory. For example:

You don't need to add a xml extension for the file, the editor will add it automatically.
